Most first-aid kits still handle larger wounds the old way: a square of gauze, then strips of tape to hold it down. This roll does both jobs at once. It is built from three layers — a soft absorbent pad, a base material and a non-woven top layer — and you simply cut the length you need, from a small graze cover to a full dressing. The spunlace non-woven fabric has a mesh structure that lets skin breathe naturally and carries away moisture and sweat, which helps reduce the risk of wound infection. The pad absorbs strongly yet is designed not to adhere to the wound itself, so changing the dressing does not undo the healing underneath. It suits home first-aid kits, and is intended for dressing wounds such as surgical sites, burns and ulcers and absorbing tissue exudate.
