The terminal screws in sockets, switches and consumer units use specialist cross profiles that ordinary Phillips and Pozi bits never quite fit. This six-piece set covers the FPH1/2/3 and FPZ1/2/3 profiles in 4.5mm, 5.5mm and 7mm head sizes - the sizes found on socket panels, circuit breakers, air switches and earth-leakage protectors. Each 65mm bit is alloy steel hardened to HRC63, with a phosphated black finish that fights rust and bites cleanly into the screw head. The tips are magnetic, so terminal screws stay on the bit rather than dropping into the back of an enclosure, and each bit wears a different coloured sleeve so you can pull the right one from the case without squinting at markings. One honest note: only the coloured sleeve is insulated - the exposed steel of the bit is not. As with any electrical work, isolate the circuit before you touch it.
