This is a serious step-up converter for serious loads: up to 1800W, taking any input between 10 and 60V and boosting it to an adjustable 12 to 90V output. Measured efficiency runs as high as 98.1% at 48V-to-60V, 8A, so very little of your power is wasted as heat. What heat there is gets handled sensibly. The heavy alumina insulation board conducts heat away far faster than an ordinary pad, and the bearing fan is temperature-controlled: at light load it does not turn at all, only spinning up when the load side reaches around 60 degrees C. The magnetics use an oversized sendust ring wound with four 1.2mm pure copper wires for low losses. A constant-current function makes it useful as a charger for vehicle and battery banks, and input reverse protection guards against a moment's carelessness with the leads.
