Kitting out a small lathe one toolholder at a time gets expensive and slow. This set does it in one box: a matched family of holders covering external and internal turning, threading, grooving and parting-style work, each supplied with a carbide insert and the wrench to fit it. The holders are machined from 40Cr-42CrMo alloy steel and hardened to HRC42-46, so they resist corrosion, shrug off chip abrasion and hold their edge-seat geometry under load. Chips clear smoothly rather than sticking to the tool, which keeps finishes cleaner and tool changes rarer. The included inserts are specified for cutting steel and stainless steel. Choose the shank size to match your toolpost — 10mm, 12mm or 16mm. The 10mm and 12mm sets contain seven holders (including MGEHR grooving, SDJCR, SDNCN, SCLCR boring and external, SER threading and SNR internal threading patterns); the 16mm set contains six. Each size comes as Set 1 or Set 2 — identical holders, with Set 2 carrying better-grade inserts.
